Adjust the dimensions of right triangle ABC by clicking and dragging any of the three vertices A, B, and C. Notice what happens the values of each side value squared. In a right triangle, a special relationship exists between the measurement of the adjacent sides and the hypotenuse. The sum of the squares of the two adjacent sides is equal to the hypotenuse squared. This is illustrated by using sides A, B, and C to create exterior squares.
